Best Value Ascot r8 Oxbridge ; This Great Southern speedster is in career best form and still seems to be on an upward spiral , remarkable for an 8yo. I concede this field has much more depth than the Summer Scorcher however this time I think he finds the front and on the minimum he takes running down.
Albany r5 Frantic War; Has done all the donkey work in the breeze last three starts . Ran in a 70+, finishing a nose 2nd to Avoidance who has since placed in Ascot Graduation company , won a OMWLY at Pinjarra and run 4th in the Fitzpatrick Plate . Then bumped into Oxbridge who went on to win the Summer Scorcher and finally dropped to 58+ grade and got touched off on the line by Flick The Switch who is airborne and she somehow found our back from the outside gate and got the perfect run. Frustratingly he has drawn outside a number of on pace horses once again and looks destined for another tough run. Demito only knows one way , Vonsip , Hot Chatter , Blue Line (providing he jumps ) all race handy. Going well enough to win this and deserves it , just worried how much fuel gets burnt early as he races better being put into the race early.
For those wanting to bet I suggest a 25/75% split of your stake for serious punters or a small win bet for the hobbyists.
